The website may use cookies and similar technologies for functions such as site operation, security, performance measurement, and analytics. Cookies are small files stored on your device. You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings or a website consent tool. Blocking some cookies may affect website functionality.
Browser-based ’Do Not Track’ signals are not interpreted consistently across the industry. If JBWS later engages in data practices that require a statutory opt-out, JBWS will provide the legally required method and address recognized opt-out preference signals where applicable.
7. Marketing Communications
JBWS may send promotional emails when you have requested them, consented to receive them, or when otherwise permitted by law. You may unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting JBWS. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop transactional or service-related communications about an active inquiry, booking, payment, or event.
8. Data Retention
JBWS retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including service delivery, customer support, tax and accounting requirements, dispute resolution, insurance, safety, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected. When information is no longer needed, JBWS may delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it.
9. Data Security
JBWS uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information maintained. No website, network, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for using appropriate care when sending sensitive information electronically.
10. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information held by JBWS, or ask questions about how it is used. Depending on your state of residence and whether the relevant law applies to JBWS, you may also have rights to obtain a portable copy, opt out of certain processing, limit certain uses, or appeal a request decision.
To submit a request, email James@JBWineServices.com with the subject line ’Privacy Request.’ JBWS may need to verify your identity before completing a request. An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, subject to verification of the agent’s authority. JBWS will not discriminate against you for exercising a legally protected privacy right. Rights may be limited by applicable exceptions, recordkeeping obligations, or the scope of the relevant law.
11. Sensitive Information
JBWS does not seek to collect highly sensitive personal information. You may voluntarily provide dietary, allergy, accessibility, or similar information when it is relevant to an event. JBWS uses that information only as reasonably necessary to plan or deliver the requested service and may share it with an event provider when needed for that purpose.

The website or JBWS communications may link to third-party websites, venues, booking platforms, payment services, wineries, retailers, or social media services. JBWS does not control those parties’ privacy, security, or content practices. Review the privacy policy of each third party before providing information.
